02 Jun JUNGLE LAKE YOGA RETREAT
My Teacher, Danny Paradise, will be conducting a Jungle Lake Yoga Retreat in Thailand from January 27-February 7, 2018.
This retreat is on a remote, pristine, beautiful lake with large floating wooden bungalows for accommodation and a floating Yoga deck and restaurant. It’s an extraordinary location surrounded by prehistoric jungle and giant limestone mountain ranges. There are very few mosquitos and no black flies.
There is an excellent restaurant serving fresh vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Three meals are provided daily. Fresh safe, drinking water is always available as well as tea and coffee. The Sanctuary wildlife includes gibbon apes, langurs, giant hornbills, serpent eagles, elephants, Sumatran tigers, lynx, monitor lizards and many other rare birds and animals.
There is electricity in the evening.
There will be one Yoga session daily in the morning and one Thai Massage class in the late afternoon. Thai Massage classes will be for the first week of the retreat.
The Yoga sessions will include discussions on various topics including Shamanism, history and philosophy of Yoga and other indigenous spiritual traditions, healing processes of Yoga and Shamanism, Nature Soul, personal responsibility, personal authority, developing a safe personal, sacred practice.
There will be Pranayama taught from the Ashtanga tradition. The Asana practice will be a non-dogmatic approach to Ashtanga Yoga investigating modifications, derivative poses, expanded routines and aspects of other traditions including Taoist, Egyptian and other varied Yoga lineages.
